HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We're back after a quick vacation for the holidays and there's a lot to catch up on.
Basically the 2 stories dominating our headlines lately: the expose of "Surviving R. Kelly" and the federal government shutdown. In this episode we expand from R Kelly to explore the bigger picture of sexual violence and rape culture. We also dig into the real effects of the shutdown on regular people, many who don't even work for the government. Finally we tackle the issue of 8 homicides in DC in the first 8 days of 2019. how can we address this surge and stop crime and violence before it starts?
